The IF-5235 Upholstered Platform Bed (manufactured and supplied across Canada by IFDC / International Furniture Distribution Centre) is a modern, low-profile bed frame. It is the fabric-upholstered counterpart to the faux leather IF-5236 model, utilizing matching layout dimensions but featuring a softer, woven textile exterior for a warmer, transitional bedroom aesthetic.
Key Design & Structural Features
- Horizontal Deep Tufted Panels: Moving away from classic diamond tufting, the headboard showcases wide, horizontally stacked tufted panels. This layout expands the room visually and provides a streamlined, clean appearance.
- Premium Grey Fabric Upholstery: The full outer perimeter, side rails, and headboard face are wrapped in a high-quality, woven Grey Linen-Style Fabric. The textured fabric provides a softer tactile alternative to polyurethane leather options.
- Chrome Accent Legs & Supports: Constructed with polished chrome accent legs on the footboard. These legs provide rigid structural stability while introducing a bright, modern metallic pop against the neutral grey textile.
- Extended Panel Continuity: To create a cohesive, wraps-around look, the distinct horizontal paneled detailing found on the headboard is seamlessly carried along the matching side rails and footboard face.
- Built-In Mattress Support Deck: The frame features an integrated internal platform slat support network. This allows you to place any memory foam, hybrid, or inner-spring mattress directly on the deck without needing a box spring foundation. (Note: A box spring can still be used if you wish to raise the sleeping height or have an exceptionally heavy mattress core)
