Rowanbeck Five-Drawer Chest

Bring dramatic Art Deco-inspired elegance and generous bedroom storage together with the Rowanbeck Five-Drawer Chest. Featuring a rich layered black finish, textured ash wood grain, graceful waterfall edges and burnished nickel-tone hardware, this sophisticated chest transforms practical storage into a striking bedroom statement.

Five spacious drawers provide convenient organization for clothing, linens and accessories, while the sculptural curved silhouette gives the Rowanbeck a distinctive presence that stands apart from conventional bedroom furniture.

Rich Layered Black Finish

The Rowanbeck features a deep layered black finish over a textured wood-grain surface.

Rather than appearing completely flat, the visible ash veneer texture gives the dark finish depth and natural character.

The sophisticated black colouring creates a dramatic foundation that pairs beautifully with white, cream, gray, metallic tones and richly coloured bedroom textiles.

Art Deco-Inspired Design

The Rowanbeck takes clear inspiration from classic Art Deco furniture.

Its softly curved silhouette, waterfall edges and polished metallic accents recall the streamlined glamour associated with the style while maintaining a contemporary overall appearance.

The result is elegant statement furniture that feels sophisticated without becoming excessively ornate.

Five Spacious Drawers

Five smooth-gliding drawers provide generous storage for folded clothing, sleepwear, linens, accessories and other everyday bedroom essentials.

The tall vertical configuration makes efficient use of available bedroom space while providing substantial organization without requiring the width of a traditional dresser.

At more than 40 inches wide, the Rowanbeck also provides particularly broad drawer interiors.

Lined Top Drawer

The upper drawer features a lined interior that provides a more refined storage area for accessories, jewellery, watches, keepsakes and other personal belongings.

It measures approximately 34.5 inches wide, 14.25 inches deep and 7.75 inches high.

Its generous proportions provide considerably more storage than the smaller top drawers found in many conventional bedroom chests.

Four Generous Lower Drawers

Four additional middle and lower drawers provide substantial room for clothing, linens and bulkier folded items.

Each drawer measures approximately 34.5 inches wide, 14.25 inches deep and 7.75 inches high.

The consistent dimensions throughout the chest make organization simple while providing generous usable capacity from top to bottom.

Fully Finished Drawer Interiors

All five drawers feature fully finished interiors.

The finished surfaces provide a clean and polished storage environment for clothing and personal belongings while reinforcing the Rowanbeck's upscale furniture character.

This attention to detail gives the chest a refined appearance both inside and out.

Dovetail Drawer Construction

The drawers feature dovetail construction for added strength and durability.

This traditional furniture-building method helps reinforce the drawer boxes and contributes to the substantial feel of the chest.

Heavy-duty ball-bearing side glides support smooth and dependable drawer movement during regular everyday use.

Graceful Waterfall Edges

Waterfall edges are one of the Rowanbeck's defining design elements.

The sides flow smoothly from the top into the body of the chest, creating a softer and more sculptural silhouette than conventional square-edged furniture.

This curved treatment reinforces the Art Deco influence while giving the substantial cabinet an elegant visual flow.

Burnished Nickel-Tone Hardware

Sleek drawer pulls feature a burnished nickel-tone finish that creates a sophisticated contrast against the rich black surface.

The softly metallic colouring adds understated glamour without overpowering the chest's textured wood grain.

Its streamlined shape works naturally with the curved profile and contemporary Art Deco styling.

Textured Ash Veneer

Ash veneer contributes natural grain and texture to the Rowanbeck's dark finish.

The visible grain prevents the black colouring from feeling plain or one-dimensional and adds subtle visual movement across the furniture surface.

This combination of genuine veneer texture and layered colouring gives the Rowanbeck a more substantial and refined appearance.

Hardwood and Ash Veneer Construction

The Rowanbeck Five-Drawer Chest is made with hardwood solids and ash veneer.

These materials support the chest's substantial proportions, curved architectural detailing and rich textured finish.

The use of ash veneer also reinforces the natural furniture character beneath the sophisticated black colouring.

Contemporary Statement Furniture

The Rowanbeck is designed to be noticed.

Its sculptural silhouette, dramatic black finish and metallic hardware give it enough presence to become a focal point within the bedroom rather than simply functioning as storage.

Despite its distinctive personality, the restrained colour palette keeps it surprisingly easy to coordinate.

Sophisticated Black Bedroom Furniture

Black furniture can anchor a bedroom and create strong visual contrast.

Pair the Rowanbeck with ivory or white bedding for a dramatic monochromatic look, introduce warm metallic accessories to emphasize its Art Deco character or combine it with upholstered furniture for a softer contemporary setting.

Its textured finish allows the piece to remain visually interesting even within an all-neutral bedroom.

Generous Vertical Storage

Measuring approximately 40.13 inches wide, 18 inches deep and 57.38 inches high, the Rowanbeck offers substantial clothing storage in a tall vertical configuration.

Its broad drawers provide generous capacity, while the 18-inch depth helps prevent the chest from projecting excessively into the room.

The vertical design makes effective use of available bedroom height without requiring the extensive wall space of a wide dresser.

Elegant Curved Silhouette

The Rowanbeck's curved form softens what would otherwise be a substantial rectangular cabinet.

This gives the chest a more graceful and furniture-inspired appearance while visually reducing its bulk.

The curves also create attractive transitions between light and shadow across the layered black finish, emphasizing the sculptural quality of the design.

Refined Contemporary Character

Although influenced by Art Deco furniture, the Rowanbeck has been simplified for modern interiors.

Clean drawer fronts and restrained ornamentation prevent the chest from feeling overly decorative, while the waterfall edges and nickel-tone pulls provide enough personality to make it distinctive.

This balance allows it to work beautifully in contemporary, transitional, modern glam and Art Deco-inspired bedrooms.

Designed for Everyday Organization

The five-drawer arrangement provides straightforward and flexible storage.

Accessories and smaller personal items can be kept in the lined upper drawer, while clothing, linens and larger folded belongings can be organized through the remaining four spacious drawers.

Smooth ball-bearing glides make each storage area convenient to access during everyday use.

Art Deco Elegance with Practical Storage

The Rowanbeck Five-Drawer Chest combines striking design with substantial everyday functionality.

Its rich layered black finish and textured ash veneer create depth, while sculptural waterfall edges and burnished nickel-tone pulls deliver unmistakable Art Deco-inspired character.

With five fully finished dovetail drawers, heavy-duty ball-bearing glides and exceptionally generous drawer interiors, the Rowanbeck offers an impressive balance of sophisticated contemporary design and practical bedroom organization.
