4 Inch Standard Posture Foundation (Boxspring)

Restonit 4-inch boxspring (also called a “low-profile foundation”) is a rigid, non-flexing base designed for people who want to lower the overall height of their bed. It is especially popular for thicker mattresses like the Restonit Labelle PT or Stella, which can otherwise make a bed feel too high with a standard 7 or 9-inch boxspring.

Key Features
  • Low Profile: At only 4 inches high, it reduces the total bed height by about 3–5 inches compared to standard foundations.
  • Solid Support: Unlike old-fashioned spring bases, these are “foundations” made of solid wood or steel frames covered in fabric to provide a flat, non-sagging surface.
  • Warranty Compliance: Using a firm foundation like this is often a requirement to keep your Restonit mattress warranty valid.
  • Split Options: King and sometimes Queen sizes come as two separate pieces (Split) to ensure they can fit through tight hallways and doors.

Pro Tip: If you have an adjustable base, you do not need a box spring at all, as the base provides all the necessary support.

Bed height is approximately (the thickness of the mattress) + (the thickness of the boxspring) + (the height of the frame)
