For added comfort, the centre third of the mattress includes a high-density closed-cell foam lumbar layer. This built-in support zone is designed to provide added resistance beneath the lower back and hips while maintaining the pressure-relieving feel of water.
The mattress is made with durable 24-mil Aqua Marine vinyl for dependable everyday use. Its sculpted conch shell top is designed to contour more naturally to the body, while the recessed seam design and reinforced corner patches help improve strength in high-stress areas.
A specialized black bottom layer helps absorb and distribute heat from a compatible waterbed heater beneath the mattress. This supports more even warmth across the sleep surface while helping reduce hot spots.
